(Yawn)

Long night.

Marlee passed out for about 3-4 hours, then started being a pain in my ass starting around 2 am.

I did my best to let Leanne sleep. She keeps yelling at me for that, and I keep reminding her that I don’t have to care for screaming, helpless people by myself all day at work. Okay, most of the time I don’t.

I’m amazed at how thoroughly Marlee can change the rules every night. I really understand how some parents get to the point where they either get mad or just leave the baby to cry in another room. It is incredibly frustrating to have reached the end of your “make baby stop crying checklist”, and still be holding an infant who’s shrill, breathless screams are hurting your ears.

Leanne won’t let on, but the fact that she slept through most of it belies how tired she really is.
